In celebration of the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Miguel Milá designed this robust luminous ring for the new stadium. Its conceptual predecessor can be traced to wrought-iron fixtures designed to hold candles—the iconic image of medieval chandeliers found in palaces and cathedrals.
