Designed by Constance Guisset for her graduation project, the Vertigo pendant light is a Petite Friture icon.
Acknowledged early on by Milan's Rossana Orlandi gallery, it has been included in numerous permanent collections, including the MAD and the Cap. Yet the challenge was an ambitious one: to develop an oversized graphic suspension, while making it light and airy. The challenge was met, and the 2010 Vertigo suspension was a success.
The enveloping structure created with polyurethane ribbons creates a space of intimacy. When lit, the ribbons trace a shaded pattern on the ceiling.
